The Montreal Canadiens organization just announced a press conference following the contract signed by the young Lane Hutson.

Even though there won't be any formal practice today, the team's head coach, Martin St-Louis, will finally speak to the media ahead of tonight's game.

Martin St-Louis in press briefing and questioned about Lane Hutson; a Kent Hughes appearance to comment on his recent signing?

A much-appreciated schedule change.

"Only the extra players will hit the ice this morning in Ottawa, at 11:30 am; Martin St-Louis will talk to the media at noon before tonight's game against the Senators." - Via Priyanta Emrith

He will announce changes to the lineup, and importantly, he is likely to comment on the signing of the very dynamic young defenseman Lane Hutson.

It's promising! We might learn more about the role that awaits Hutson in Martin St-Louis' lineup.

It is also possible that Kent Hughes may come to comment on his most recent acquisition. (as he did after the signing of Samuel Montembeault)

Hutson, 20 years old, signed a three-year contract earning him $950,000 per year, with $1.6 million in performance bonuses.

Hutson, 20 years old, 62nd overall pick in 2022 (second round), amassed 49 points in 38 games this season at Boston University, including 15 goals.

Last season, he had collected 48 points in 39 games at Boston University, including 15 goals.
