We just witnessed an intriguing scene, live from the Montreal Canadiens practice in Brossard, involving young forward Juraj Slafkovsky.

As reported notably by journalist Eric Engels, the first players hit the ice in the last few minutes before the "official" practice to work on faceoff efficiency.

The centers worked with specialist Marc Bureau, something we love to see and something that is very much needed right now.

However, one detail caught our attention.

Soon a tryout at center for Juraj Slafkovsky?

While the Canadiens' current second-line center is Jake Evans, we just got a hint of a possible change coming.

Could young Slafkovsky be about to get a shot as the second-line center for the Habs?

As also reported by the excellent Marc-Olivier Cook, all the centers are currently on the ice with expert Marc Bureau.

But there's a certain "intruder."

"The players participating: Condotta, Suzuki, Newhook, Evans, Dvorak, Dach, and.. Slafkovsky."

You read that right.

Seeing names like Lucas Condotta, Nick Suzuki, Alex Newhook, Jake Evans, Christian Dvorak, and Kirby Dach is perfectly logical, but it's truly intriguing to see Juraj Slafkovsky there as well.

This will be a storyline, or at least, a possibility to watch over the next few hours and ahead of Saturday's game.

Will Martin St-Louis soon announce a change at the second-line centre position?

Do you think he should try Juraj Slafkovsky at centre just like we suggested a few weeks back?
