Martin St-Louis surprises the Canadiens in a very emotional scene
As the Montreal Canadiens are gearing up to face off against the Colorado Avalanche with Martin St-Louis behind the bench, we've had a touching moment.
The sudden departure of head coach Martin St-Louis has been a hot topic in recent days. The head coach is now back with his team, and he even explained the reasons for his absence.
According to what the CH's game commentator on 98.5FM reported, St-Louis surprised his men in Colorado. When the group returned to the hotel, the coach was in the lobby waiting for his players, and it seems that the moment was emotionally charged:
"When the team arrived, Martin St-Louis was waiting for his players. He shook hands with them, one by one. There were some he embraced. I saw an emotional hug between him and Kaiden Guhle. Also, a very emotional hug between him and Kent Hughes. It was a beautiful moment. We saw the strong bond that exists between Martin St-Louis and his players, and we also saw the strong connection he has with the team's management. We saw the importance of the man. We noticed during his absence that the team was not the same. And that's when we felt his strong presence at the head of his team." - Martin McGuire
