Practically two days after the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins, the NHL has officially announced a score change.

Here is the "scoring change" in question, which was just announced by the NHL.

No, it's not great that they waited two days to confirm it..

An Assist Added to Lane Hutson's Record

See the official statement:

Official scoring change between the Canadiens and the Bruins:

Goal at 6:38 of the third period now reads Cole Caufield from Nick Suzuki and Lane Hutson.

Hutson was credited with an assist on Caufield's second goal in Boston.

We can now add another assist to young Lane Hutson, who continues to build a strong case in the race for Rookie of the Year in the National Hockey League (Calder Trophy).

Hutson, 20 years old, is now at 15 points in just 24 games (15 assists) and has added a point to his record without even playing a game.

We love it.

Speaking of current news about the Montreal Canadiens, let's remember that the team has just confirmed the return of forward Patty Laine to the lineup tonight.

Laine and Lane Hutson should put on a show for us tonight against Patrick Roy's Islanders.

MONTREAL - Christmas came early for the Habs and their fans as the Club announced on Tuesday that Patrik Laine will make his regular season debut with the Habs tonight against the Islanders at the Bell Centre.

Laine, who has been sidelined by a left knee sprain since late September, completed a line with Kirby Dach and Juraj Slafkovsky during the team's morning skate.

«Yesterday, there were a lot of different emotions. I got nervous, a little bit since it's almost been a year since my last real game, but yeah, I'm mostly excited and finally get this thing over with and just being back on the ice with the guys so I'm happy about it.»

Montreal Canadiens

Ilya Sorokin will be in net for the visitors, while Samuel Montembeault will defend the cage for our Montreal Canadiens.
