We have news regarding the Montreal Canadiens and forward Patrik Laine.

After hinting at his return on Instagram yesterday, Laine's comeback is now official! The long awaited return is over!

Laine will be in uniform tonight against Patrick Roy's New York Islanders!

That's not all.

Not only will Laine be in uniform tonight, but he will also be slotted directly into the team's top-6!

Laine will also take Dach's spot on the first PP unit:

Patrik Laine will take Kirby Dach's spot on the first power-play unit, while Dach will replace Joel Armia on the second unit.

Forward Patrik Laine has been removed from the injured list and will play his first game of the season on Tuesday.

It will be interesting to see what Laine, Kirby Dach, and Juraj Slafkovsky can accomplish together tonight.

Laine, 26 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 208-pound forward. The 2nd overall pick by the Winnipeg Jets in 2016 has accumulated 388 points (204 goals) in 480 career games in the NHL.
