Five players are reportedly more clearly available on the trade market from the Montreal Canadiens as the trade deadline approaches.

We're talking about Mike Matheson, David Savard, Christian Dvorak, Joel Armia, and Jake Evans.

Knowing this, the excellent Marc-Olivier Beaudoin has shared his thoughts on the trade value of these players, with Dvorak's value being particularly noteworthy.

A 4th-round pick in exchange for Christian Dvorak?

According to the analyst, Kent Hughes could realistically receive a fourth-round pick in exchange for Dvorak without even having to retain salary in the transaction.

At that price, would you do it?

It's worth recalling that, according to some, the last updates suggested Dvorak's trade value was negative (or zero).

So, it's excellent to hear that the Canadiens could finally receive a pick or a prospect in exchange for the veteran center.

Dvorak, aged 28, has 8 points in 24 games this season, after tallying 9 points in 30 games last season.

In his NHL career, he has recorded 224 points in 476 games so far, but the majority of those points were scored earlier in his career (ironically).

He earns $4.45 million per year through 2025 and has a negative +/- rating of -7.

At that price, would you trade Dvorak?

Do you think he'll still be with the Montreal Canadiens next fall, as young players like Ivan Demidov, Michael Hage, and Owen Beck might be ready to move up to the National Hockey League.

These are interesting decisions ahead for General Manager Kent Hughes.
