The TVA Sports journalist, Renaud Lavoie, brought up an interesting scene involving Arber Xhekaj and Max Domi from the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

It obviously happened last night during the season opener at the Bell Centre.

Speaking on BPM Sports this morning, Renaud revealed that the Sheriff didn't need to drop the gloves to send a strong message to Max Domi.

We recall that last night, Max Domi and David Savard squared off multiple times, tensions flared, and things got out of hand.

In the end, David Savard came out on top.

Max Domi wanted to drop the gloves, but Arber Xhekaj took care of him

As Renaud Lavoie recounted on BPM Sports this morning, during a commercial break, there was some heated discussion near the Montreal Canadiens' bench, as Domi really wanted to settle his score.

The TVA Sports journalist was positioned right between the two benches, saw everything, and revealed that Domi received a clear warning from Xhekaj: if he wanted to fight, it would be against him, not Savard.

Domi invited Savard to drop the gloves and settle it, and Xhekaj stepped in and said: no, I'll take him! - Renaud Lavoie

After Xhekaj's intervention, Domi stayed quiet, and the issue was settled.

After the intervention of number 72, Domi didn't say another word, and everything calmed down. Lavoie even added that no Maple Leafs player dared to address the Canadiens' bench for the rest of the game.
