WOW: Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens have just acquired a lazy player, according to Grant McCagg
As we conclude our analysis of Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens' work at the 2024 trade deadline, we find it to be very positive.
The trade of Jake Allen seems to be unanimously approved, even though he was an extremely appreciated person and teammate in Montreal, and we also love the gamble with the young Jacob Perreault. (acquired in exchange for Jan Mysak)
Jacob Perreault, the son of Yanic and a first-round pick in 2020, is indeed joining the Laval Rocket.
A fresh start that will really benefit Jacob Perreault
This is what his father said in various interviews:
We love this acquisition! However, not everyone feels the same.
The former Canadiens scout, Grant McCagg, is not a fan of Perreault. The experienced hockey man described the new Rocket forward as a lazy player.
"McCagg: Perreault has a lot of talent but he's lazy."
Details:
McCagg added, however, that he could bounce back with the Canadiens, so he's leaving the door open to being pleasantly surprised.
Let's hope this can provide an extra dose of motivation to young Perreault, who indeed still has very interesting potential.
