We just had a great display of sportsmanship, courtesy of Brady Tkachuk. The captain of the Ottawa Senators indeed had a penalty called against the opposing team overturned.

Here's the recap of the events.

Mad respect for what Brady Tkachuk just did.

He snapped his head back to avoid a high stick and the refs thought he got clipped and called a penalty.

Tkachuk waved it off and told them he didn't get clipped, so no penalty.

Every player should be so noble.

A beautiful gesture from Brady Tkachuk towards his opponents

See the footage:

It's truly beautiful to see.

We love it.

Do you think more players should act like this? It's true that it deprives his team of a power play, but personally, I really believe this is the kind of gesture that earns a player the respect of many.

Sports would be so much better if more players did this.

Brady Tkachuk, 25, is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound forward who was drafted 4th overall in 2018 by the Ottawa Senators, one spot after the Canadiens selected Jesperi Kotkaniemi 3rd.

He has accumulated 38 points in 45 games this season with his Senators, including 18 goals, and has 387 points in 485 career games in theNHL. (180 goals)

Tkachuk is a standout player for Ottawa!
