Sad announcement from the Flyers involving former Hab Nicolas Deslauriers, and it's officially over for him as a regular in their lineup
It often happens that we see fans of the Montreal Canadiens calling for the return of Nicolas Deslauriers, who is one of the most feared players in the entire NHL.
Even more so since Michael Pezzetta seems to have lost his regular role in the lineup.
Done for Nicolas Deslauriers as a regular in Philadelphia
In short, in the last few minutes, journalists covering the Flyers have reported that D-Lo will again be left in the stands by John Tortorella, confirming that he too has lost his spot as a regular player in the Flyers' lineup.
It's really a shame for him.
Deslauriers has never been a "healthy scratch" for a very long time, he played 81 games in 2022, 80 games in 2023, and he had played the first 42 games of the Flyers this season, but he is now relegated to the position of 13th forward.
Deslauriers, 32 years old and originally from La Salle (Qc), has accumulated 15 points in his last two seasons and more than 182 penalty minutes. He earns 1.75 million per year until 2026.
He had been traded for a 3rd round pick in 2022.
And you, would you give a 3rd or 4th round pick for Deslauriers and for all that he can bring to a fourth line?
