Weird and disturbing scene at the Lightning bench last night involving Victor Hedman
A sequence captured last night on the Tampa Bay Lightning bench is currently going viral on the web and it involves defenseman Victor Hedman.
Here it is:
There is a lot of confusion in the comments, and no one seems to understand what happened:
Why did Hedman do that? The reason is simple. In the video, he clearly appears to be uncomfortable, and he simply panicked in a way.
It speaks volumes about what players endure physically and mentally to be able to play these big games.
It's even more impressive to realize that Hedman stayed in the game after that, and he played very well under the circumstances. He played over 26 minutes!
A real pro!
That being said, it's clear that this is a concerning scene for Tampa Bay Lightning fans. Hedman is undoubtedly one of the most valuable players on his team.
