William Nylander's teammate Timothy Liljegren revealed his health status by mistake in an interview ahead of the first game in the series between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins.

Yesterday, a worrying development emerged from the Leafs' practice: William Nylander was absent, dealing with an injury. In a press conference, Sheldon Keefe said that he wouldn't provide daily injury updates in the playoffs:

"Sheldon Keefe on William Nylander missing practice:

"He & Bobby McMann both stayed off the ice today, but both are possibilities for tomorrow. That's it. [Treliving's] made it pretty clear there's not going to be any daily injury updates or anything like that.""

His status remained questionable for game one:

"William Nylander's availability tonight remains uncertain. It's believed he felt something on the off day after the last game. Likely a «tweak» but not something he was playing with. Remains questionable for game 1."

"Like yesterday, Sheldon Keefe unwilling to offer an update on the status of William Nylander "

Just as we didn't expect more updates, Nylander's teammate Timothy Liljegren shared major details, evidently unaware of the Leafs' attempt of hiding informations:

"Liljegren on Nylander: Hard to replace Willy, obviously, but we've had guys step up when guys go down all year so it will be no different this time

How's William holding up?

Liljegren: Obviously tough for him, but hopefully he won't miss too much."

While he didn't reveal how long Nylander would miss or the nature of his injury, these details indicate that he should miss the game tonight, and possibly more.

MAJOR UPDATE: William Nylander is ruled out of game 1
