A talented young forward has ignored Kent Hughes and the Canadiens

As reported by Anthony Martineau, the young Konsta Helenius, who could very well be a top-10 pick at the end of the month, inadvertently ignored the Canadiens. He simply forgot to fill out the questionnaire that the organization had sent him during the season.

Fortunately for him, the Canadiens were still willing to meet with him despite his oversight. It seems the organization didn't take his mistake too badly. Even better, according to Helenius himself, the club's management seemed to like him quite a bit.

As my colleague Nicolas Desrosiers reports, it would be surprising if Kent Hughes used his 5th overall pick on Helenius. However, he could consider the young Finnish forward if he managed to acquire another pick in the top 12.

Helenius is a 5-foot-11, 181-pound forward. He performed very well this season in the Liiga, Finland's top professional league, amassing 36 points, including 14 goals, in 51 games.
