We told you about it earlier today, and you probably already know the story anyway, but Jonathan Drouin was absent from the Montreal Canadiens practice today.

Why was he absent? He was suspended by Martin St-Louis, for today, because he missed a team meeting.

In a press conference, the Montreal Canadiens head coach mentioned that he still doesn't know if he will allow Drouin to play tomorrow against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Some journalists have already reported that Jonathan will be "OUT" tomorrow, but we have no official confirmation, and in any case, we are probably already witnessing a reversal of the situation.

Why is that?

Because of the other injuries and because the Habs are on the road (so, far from Laval), Martin St-Louis might have to dress Drouin.

"If Drouin sits tomorrow, I believe Habs only have 11 other forwards with them in Tampa" - Eric Engels

So even if St. Louis wanted to send a message and punish Drouin for the game, he may be forced to rethink his plans, especially if another player gets hurt, or if Kaiden Guhle can't play tomorrow (who had a day of treatment today).

We will have the answer tomorrow. To be continued.
