See an excerpt from the Cavendish police statement.
«Three people who escaped the fire were injured, one of them seriously. Once the fire was extinguished by firefighters, human remains were discovered inside.
The site has been monitored by the RCMP, and the investigation is ongoing.»
It is unspeakably sad.
The police did not give any names, but the local team itself announced the tragic death of forward Noah Latimer.
«Your Capstone Colts are absolutely devastated to learn of the passing of Noah Latimer. During the short time Noah spent with the Colts, he made an immediate impact on the organization, being the ultimate teammate and even receiving the MVP award for the playoffs for the Colts.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Noah's family, teammates, and friends during this very difficult time. Latsy will be sincerely missed by so many and will always be remembered.»
Latimer had just been traded there.
We sincerely want to offer our deepest condolences to the close ones and family of young Noah during these unbearable times.
