This is very interesting.

Earlier today, the Canadiens caused a surprise by already sending forward Joshua Roy to the AHL with the Laval Rocket.

This occurred a few hours after Mitchell Stephens was placed on waivers.

Yes, the Canadiens are really starting to run out of forwards and it's causing confusion.

What is Kent Hughes' plan? Is a trade in the works?

We may have just gotten the answer.

A big center player available for free for the Habs!

Don't be surprised if the Canadiens add a player to their lineup tomorrow at 2 PM.

Adam Ruzicka placed on waivers by the Calgary Flames

We have reason to believe he is targeted by Kent Hughes, notably due to Joshua Roy's demotion precisely when Ruzicka became available, but also because of ties with the organization.

He is a good friend of Juraj Slafkovsky.

Moreover, he is a center, while the Canadiens currently have only three in their lineup.

"Maybe they sent Roy down in anticipation of picking up Ruzicka on waivers?" - HFTV

That's what we believe too.

"Adam Ruzicka has just been placed on waivers by the Flames.

A 6'4", 215-pound center who is 24 years old and has collected 40 points in 114 NHL games.

A saviour for the Habs? No.

A guy who can help at center in the short term? Probably!" - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin

Bingo! And he earns practically the NHL minimum salary, so no risk at that level either.

We are eager to see if this will materialize tomorrow.
