Historic announcement for Bettman and the NHL following the Stanley Cup Finals
A historic announcement for Gary Bettman and the National Hockey League has just been made as the page turns on the 2024 Stanley Cup Final.
For the first time in a very long time, it feels like the popularity of NHL hockey in the United States can compete with the economic giants that are the NBA and MLB.
The Stanley Cup was more popular than the last 5 NBA Finals and the last 5 World Series

Wow! Is it the Connor McDavid effect? The effect of having a Canadian team in the final? The effect of a Game 7 or the effect of the historic comeback leading up to this Game 7?
It's probably a bit of all these factors, but clearly, this is a giant step for the National Hockey League and our national sport.
Commissioner Gary Bettman must be over the moon today seeing this.

It will start this Friday with the 2024 Draft, which will be broadcast live from the prestigious sphere in Las Vegas. The show promises to be very exciting once again.
