Typically, the names that frequently come up as trade options for the Canadiens are Christian Dvorak, Joel Armia, Justin Barron, and Jordan Harris.
However, according to The Hockey News, two other Montreal Canadiens players could be available on the trade market, including one more unusual name.
This is what they have recently claimed.
In the case of Jordan Harris, we mentioned him earlier, and it makes sense due to the surplus of defensemen in Montreal. As for David Savard, it's rarer to see his name come up, but it's understandable due to his contract situation. However, the most surprising name here is definitely Jake Evans.
He plays his role brilliantly, he's affordable, he could take Christian Dvorak's spot (in case of a trade), and Martin St-Louis seems to really appreciate his work.
Jake Evans, 28 years old, recorded 28 points in 82 games last season, with a plus-minus of -1.
Do you think, like THN, that he could be traded?
Here's the full list of players most likely to leave the club in the coming months, as compiled by my colleagues at Marqueur:
In your opinion, which of the names mentioned above won't be with the Montreal Canadiens in a year?
I believe that Jake Evans and David Savard can still genuinely help the Montreal Canadiens' cause.
However, as for Christian Dvorak, Michael Pezzetta, Justin Barron, and others, I think they could possibly benefit from a fresh start, at the right price for Kent Hughes.
