Yesterday morning on BPM Sports' airwaves, Jean-Charles Lajoie had a very interesting guest on his interview.

The very tough defenseman of the Edmonton Oilers, Vincent Desharnais, was a big favorite for the fans listening to the show.

He opened up like never before:

«Desharnais tells his story BPM Sports Radio.

Following a concussion, depression occurred. A defining moment for his future: "I don't think I'd be in the NHL without that.

After that, he learned to manage his anxiety: "I told myself: if I want to go far, I have to change my habits.

« On Premier conteur with JiC Lajoie this morning, Edmonton Oilers defenseman Vincent Desharnais shares the moment of his recall to the NHL and the importance of mental health awareness among players.»

A testimony that leaves no one indifferent:

Desharnais earns the NHL minimum salary ($762,500), he is from Quebec and is an extraordinary teammate who brings many interesting elements on the ice.

An observer made a connection with the Montreal Canadiens, and the idea is interesting.

Considering that the Habs have several extremely talented smaller players in their organization, like Cole Caufield, Sean Farrell, Lane Hutson, possibly a Zach Benson and others, let's ask the question.

Could Arber Xhekaj benefit from some help? Could Kent Hughes try to acquire another tough and talented player like Xhekaj?

Desharnais will be a free agent at the end of next season and he is certainly a name to keep in mind until then.

Other fans suggest acquiring him through a trade, possibly for a draft pick?
