There is no doubt that the GM of the Habs is still evaluating his options in this regard, even though there is a strong likelihood that Samuel Montembeault will be his trusted man for the upcoming season.
In recent days, coach Mitch Giguère has been answering fans' questions on Twitter, and one proposal made by a fan has sparked a lot of discussion.
Indeed, the fan in question suggests a trade that would bring Philadelphia Flyers' goalie, Carter Hart, to Montreal. In return, the Flyers would acquire Jordan Harris, Sean Farrell, Cayden Primeau, as well as another young player or a draft pick.
This may seem like a lot, but in order to receive, one must give, and the Flyers obviously won't give up their number one goalie for peanuts.
After all, Hart is only 24 years old, so he still has a huge potential for improvement, despite already having five seasons of experience in the National Hockey League.
Hart may not have fully demonstrated the potential we saw in him when he entered the NHL, but he has shown respectable statistics in recent seasons, despite the inconsistency and lack of success of his team.
With the right support and within a new organization, Hart could definitively become a star goaltender in the NHL, just as he was during his junior career with the WHL's Everett Silvertips.
However, it is unclear why the Flyers would be willing to sacrifice a young goalie of Hart's caliber. But if that were the case, would you be willing to pay the proposed price for his services?
