The Red Wings just submitted a major trade offer to Kent Hughes and we have the details
Rumors suggest that Kent Hughes is on the verge of trading his 5th overall pick to move back.
In the past few minutes, an anonymous insider, who was the only one to mention the trade sending Alex Newhook to the Canadiens two hours before it was confirmed, has just put forward the following information.
"So far, the most appealing trade proposal for Kent Hughes would be from the Red Wings. Indeed, Steve Yzerman would be willing to trade the 9th and 17th overall picks in the draft, along with a highly promising defenseman, possibly someone like William Wallinder, in order to acquire the 5th overall pick." That would result in the following:
TO MONTREAL :
 9th pick
 17th pick
 Promising defenseman like William Wallinder
TO DETROIT:
 5th pick
