The Seattle Kraken negotiated with the Montreal Canadiens for a trade involving a goaltender.
Garrioch does not mention which goaltender was discussed between Kent Hughes and Ron Francis, but it is assumed that it's either Jake Allen or Cayden Primeau, and not Samuel Montembeault.
It makes sense, especially since the Kraken announced last week that their number one goaltender Philipp Grubauer will be absent for a while. (and they already wanted to acquire another goaltender before that)
So, this will be something to watch for after the holidays, but don't be surprised if Jake Allen eventually moves to Seattle. Anyway, the three-goalie situation in Montreal has lasted long enough, and the Kraken really need reinforcement in front of the net.
Note that at the next draft, the Kraken have 1 first-round pick, 1 second-round pick, 2 third-round picks, and a fourth-round pick.
What would you ask for Allen or for Primeau?
