Renowned insider Pierre LeBrun, from TSN, has just revealed a big scoop involving Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.

A major trade was indeed negotiated between Hughes (Canadiens) and Barry Trotz (Nashville Predators), and it involved young goaltender Yaroslav Askarov.

In fact, the Canadiens were among the 5 finalist teams to acquire Askarov.

It also shows that they seem to be looking for another goaltender, especially if a good young one becomes available.
