The renowned David Pagnotta has just confirmed the circulating rumor involving Martin Necas and the Montreal Canadiens.

The Habs are indeed among the favorites to acquire the 25-year-old forward. In his latest piece via TFP, Pagnotta mentions this:

«There is a lot of interest in Necas. As I stated on NHL Network, at least a dozen teams have him on their radar.

Some clubs have already reached out [...] Calgary, Nashville, Seattle, Philadelphia, Montreal, and Vancouver are among the interested teams»

This confirms that the Montreal Canadiens are interested in acquiring Martin Necas! Kent Hughes seems to be among the six general managers at the forefront of the race, and this does not come from a Montreal journalist.

It comes directly from David Pagnotta.

This will be a significant story to follow, but know that Pagnotta also notes that the Carolina Hurricanes are not in a hurry to trade their excellent young forward.

They possibly want to try to sign him before considering the next steps.

Martin Necas, 25 years old, 6 feet 2 inches and 195 pounds, was the Canes' 12th overall pick in 2017. He accumulated 53 points in 77 games this season, and 71 points in 82 games last season.

During the 2024 playoffs, he scored nine points in 11 games.

In any case, it is confirmed! He is on Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens' radar this summer.
