In my humble opinion, Blackwood is undoubtedly one of the most underrated goaltenders in the entire NHL. He has done an excellent job with the young San Jose Sharks over the past few years.
He's definitely a goalie I would have targeted if I were the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, possibly as a replacement for Cayden Primeau.
That said, Blackwood has been traded.

In 19 games this season, he has a 6-9-3 record with a 2.95 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.
Over his career in the NHL, he holds a record of 81-91-25, with a 3.06 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.
He earns $2.35 million annually, and his contract expires at the end of this season.
