Renowned insider Elliotte Friedman has just announced that goaltender MacKenzie Blackwood has been traded.

In my humble opinion, Blackwood is undoubtedly one of the most underrated goaltenders in the entire NHL. He has done an excellent job with the young San Jose Sharks over the past few years.

He's definitely a goalie I would have targeted if I were the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, possibly as a replacement for Cayden Primeau.

That said, Blackwood has been traded.
