Kent Hughes is involved in multiple discussions on the NHL trade market

Here's an excerpt from the TVA Sports article.

Rumor has it behind the scenes that the Montreal Canadiens were among the teams trying to acquire goaltender Yaroslav Askarov. Throughout the summer, rumors have linked the Habs to Rutger McGroarty, Martin Necas, and Trevor Zegras.

«The Canadiens are involved in several discussions,» confirmed Renaud Lavoie on Monday.

The reporter added that it's «perhaps a little less» intense since acquiring Patrik Laine, but even so, we know that Kent Hughes tried to acquire Yaroslav Askarov just a few days ago.

«For all the names you just mentioned (Martin Necas, Patrik Laine, and Yaroslav Askarov), there have been discussions with the Canadiens for a trade.»

It's very interesting to see that Kent Hughes is highly active on the phone and is clearly ready to be more persistent on the trade market.

He's ready to move on to the next step, as he himself mentioned.

We love it!
