For the past few weeks, many analysts have linked Anthony Mantha's name to Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.

We are talking about a 6-foot-5, 240-pound forward who scored 44 points, including 23 goals, this season with the Washington Capitals and the Vegas Golden Knights.
He was traded at the most recent trade deadline for 2nd and 4th round draft picks but will not be returning to Nevada.

David Pagnotta confirms that Anthony Mantha will be a free agent and free as a bird on July 1st

See what the TFP journalist just reported.
«Here's what we know so far: forwards Michael Amadio, William Carrier, and Anthony Mantha will not be returning to Las Vegas. All three are aware and plan to test the free agent market on July 1st.

Defenseman Alec Martinez no longer seems to have a place on the blue line; he will turn 37 at the end of July, and it is said that he is evaluating his options.» - David Pagnotta

Interesting! For 3 or 4 seasons, at $3.9 million per year, would you like the Montreal Canadiens to take a chance on Anthony Mantha?
He is 29 years old and has produced at rates of 72, 60, and 50 points per season in the past, notably with the Detroit Red Wings. (51 points per 82 games in 2023-2024)
Depending on the price, it could be an intriguing option for Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton, and he could be solid on a third line or even a second line with Kirby Dach.
