On the positive side of the San Jose Sharks-Montreal Canadiens duel, Timo Meier had a masterful game. The Swiss scored twice, had an assist, hit seven of his 12 shots on Jake Allen and gave away two checks.
Sharks head coach Bob Boughner was very pleased with his 25-year-old, and he didn't hesitate to send a little "jab" to the Canadiens in his post-game interview:
"Timo looked like an adult playing with children as he was so dominant tonight!"
It's simple, Meier played like one of the great players in the league in the Montreal Canadiens' ring, the Bell Centre. He really looked like a grown man playing against an atomic team, which is embarrassing for the Red, White, and Blue.
Let's hope that this statement reaches the ears of the Montreal Canadiens so that they can motivate themselves with something to regain a bit of pride.
