Bizarre scene: a stick starts moving on its own on the ice, raising big questions among fans about digital advertising
A rather bizarre scene occurred during the recent Nashville Predators vs. Calgary Flames game.
This one.
"Did anyone else notice Dube's stick mysteriously tried to follow him to the bench after sliding to the boards??
No way Dube moved that stick from the boards.
Ghosts in Nashville?"
It does indeed seem to be the case, even after several viewings. Due to its unusual nature, this sequence has gone viral on the web.
But there is obviously a more rational and logical explanation.
It's been talked about less this year, but the digital ads on the boards, implemented by Gary Bettman, continue to greatly harm the TV viewing experience for fans.
When watching a hockey game on TV, it's not uncommon to see glitches, due to these digital ads virtually added to the boards.
And that's exactly what happened here.
It's simply the puck, which disappears from our field of vision due to the digital ad, hitting the stick and making it move.
You know, when a hockey game becomes a contest of magic and illusions, it's not necessarily what is sought.
Anyway, here, the illusion was perfectly executed.
Many of you sent us the video and asked for logical explanations, so there you go.
