Refs under fire for costing the Boston Bruins a game 4 win
Chaos in Boston! The Boston Bruins have blown a 2-0 lead in their 3-2 loss to the Florida Panthers which they are now trailing 3-1 in the series on the brink of elimination.
Fans across social media are calling out the NHL refs involved in the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers game 4 as they have let a controversial goal go through which was Sam Bennett's equaliser to make it 2-2. It really seems like the NHL and Sam Bennett are a lucky match after he was seen shoving Charlie Coyle into Jeremy Swayman which put him out of position leaving Bennett with the empty net.
The Bruins eventually challenged for goaltender interference yet it somehow counted as a goal, favouring the Panthers.
The following ruling was made by the NHL:
Result: Original call is confirmed - Goal
Florida
Explanation:
Video review supported the Referees' call on the ice that that the shove by Florida's Sam Bennett on Charlie Coyle and the subsequent contact with Jeremy Swayman did not prevent Swayman from playing his position in the crease prior to bennett's goal.
Penalty: 2:00 minor penalty: Delay of Game - Unsuccessful Challenge

Many fans and reporters across the league shared their thoughts, with the consensus answer being it was a clear goaltender interference.
This isn't the first time this week Sam Bennett has gotten away with something involving the Bruins, with the Panthers forward sucker punching Bruins captain Brad Marchand which caused him to miss game four.
Sam Bennett has quite clearly established himself as public enemy number one in Boston.
