The tragic death of Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau has sent shockwaves through the community.
We're talking about two young men in the prime of their lives, with wonderful families, who were also about to attend their little sister's wedding.
It's truly heartbreaking.
Sadly, it comes as no surprise that we've just learned that Johnny Gaudreau's sister's wedding has been canceled after the NHL star and his brother, Matthew Gaudreau, were struck by an alleged drunk driver.
Katie Gaudreau and her fiancé, Devin Joyce, have canceled their Friday wedding at St. Mary Parish in Gloucester City, New Jersey, following the tragedy that occurred last night.
We are still at a loss for words.

I believe people have generally done well to give the Gaudreau family the space they need to process this terrible shock, but they have now come forward with a brief message.
Here is the message shared by Jim Gaudreau:
We want everyone to know that we receive your messages of love and support and that we appreciate your thoughts and prayers. We ask that you continue to respect our privacy during this very difficult period of mourning.
