Jake Evans' Spouse Had Taken Steps to Leave Montreal Before His Last-Second Contract Decision
As part of the latest episode of Stanley25, Maxime Truman revealed an interesting piece of information about Jake Evans and his spouse, Emily Flat.
This once again shows how everything indicated that Evans was going to leave Montreal, and at the very last second, he simply decided that he absolutely wanted to stay here at all costs.
Max Truman tells us that Jake Evans is renting an apartment owned by Joël Bouchard..
Well, everyone was so convinced that Evans was going to leave that Bouchard actually went to people to offer them the apartment in question.
"Jake Evans' camp, Jake Evans' spouse, were so convinced he wasn't going to stay that they started offering the apartment to other people.
And Jake Evans finally accepted to sign the offer he had on the table!"

Kent Hughes held his ground, and Evans didn't want to leave so badly that he accepted to stay.
Jake Evans' spouse was also convinced he was leaving Montreal
Hats off, hats off, and hats off again to Jake!
We also highly recommend watching the full episode:
Evans was already preparing for his departure from Montreal, and so was his spouse, but in the end, he took matters into his own hands.
Last week, Jake Evans and his spouse were reluctantly preparing for their move.
They were convinced they were leaving Montreal. His contract extension is a complete turn of events.
It's great to see a guy take less money than he could have made on the market to stay in Montreal.

It's worth noting that before leaving for the Four Nations Faceoff, Evans spoke about his time in Montreal in the past tense, even mentioning that "it was an honor for him to represent the Canadiens' logo."
What a turn of events, and we love it!
