We have just witnessed an unexpected scene thanks to the Paris 2024 Olympics involving Montreal Canadiens forward Juraj Slafkovsky.
Slafkovsky, clearly an exceptional athlete, took advantage of the Olympic excitement to try his hand at Canoe Kayak.
He raced against Richard Varga, a very popular Slovak triathlete, and he did very well.
Check out the remarkable scene and the images.
You saw correctly! Slafkovsky outperformed the great triathlete Varga!
This happened as part of the ongoing Olympic festival there, and it's safe to say the young Canadiens forward really wowed the crowd.
Sure, he has the advantage of youth, but still!
Here are some more images from the event:
We love it. Simply seeing Juraj Slafkovsky in action makes us happy, and he seems to be in great shape.
Slovakia has every reason to be extremely proud of him!
