One of the most underrated prospects on the blue line in Montreal is probably Jayden Struble. The 6-foot, 200-pound defenseman was a second-round pick of the Canadiens in the 2019 NHL Draft.

We often hear the names of Jordan Harris, Kaiden Guhle and Mattias Norlinder on the Habs, but Struble definitely shouldn't be sent to the dustbin. The 20-year-old started the 2021-2022 season with Northeastern University in the lion's den, as he racked up 3 points, including 1 goal and 2 assists in his team's win.

It was only the first game of the season, but Struble just put himself back on the map with this performance. Could he make it to the pros at the end of the season? He could help the Laval Rocket and be a big part of their defense next year.

Riley Kidney, second round pick in 2021, had a goal and two assists for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan last night. He even got the first star of the game and helped his team win the game.

Xavier Simoneau (1 goal and 1 assist) and Joshua Roy (2 assists) had 2 points each.

It will be very interesting to follow the development of the young wolves of the organization during the season. One thing is for sure, Jayden Struble is a very intriguing prospect.
