As the Habs' season of misery comes to an end, we can expect a lot of changes to the team this off-season.
During the show l'Après-match, aired on TVA Sports on Wednesday night, there was a discussion about some of the team's veterans and the case of Jonathan Drouin was discussed by host Dave Morissette and his various guests.
And according to Jean-François Chaumont, a journalist for the Journal de Montréal, the future of the number 92 would be elsewhere than in Montreal and this, as soon as next year.
"I would be surprised to see [Jonathan Drouin] in Montreal again."
Wow, this is still major. Chaumont would be "surprised" to see Drouin back in Montreal next season. Does he have any inside information? It's hard to say, but reactions are numerous following this statement.
Even if he was limited to 34 games this season, the Quebec forward still looked good with 20 points, but let's face it, Drouin will probably never reach star status with the Habs.
He has one more year left on his $5.5 million contract next year and if Kent Hughes is going to move him this offseason, he's going to have to be pretty modest in his demands.
