In the last few minutes, the Trois-Rivières Lions, a team affiliated with the Montreal Canadiens in the ECHL, announced the following.

It's rare to see this.

"The Trois-Rivières Lions have placed forward William Lemay on the suspended players list to remove him from the lineup.

Good luck with your future endeavors, William!"

Thus, his journey within the organizational chart of the Montreal Canadiens ends.

Lemay, 24 years old, played 14 games with the Trifluviens in 2023-2024, scoring 2 points, including one goal.

The native of Marieville has participated in a total of 28 games with the Lions and will now have the chance to agree with another team, as he becomes a free agent.
