As you know, the famous 2022 NHL draft is fast approaching.
The major event, which will take place in Montreal at the Bell Centre, is obviously attracting a lot of attention and Canadiens executives Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are preparing for it.
They are currently in Finland, where a certain Juraj Slafkovsky is (again) wowing and stealing the show. As the Draft 2022 approaches, Montreal Canadiens pundits and observers continue to speculate wildly about which player the Tricolore should select first overall.
It's entertaining, but at the end of the day, I'm still convinced that the best pick to make is Shane Wright.
On the other hand, the excellent Andrew Zadarnowski has thought of a Hollywood scenario that would be magical:
Imagine this, "The Montreal Canadiens are proud to select, from TPS Turku, Juraj Slafkovsky. To present Juraj with his jersey, former Canadiens captain and current Turku owner Saku Koivu.
I guess the Montreal crowd would be ecstatic.
(But it's going to be Wright) - @AZadarski
Very much agree with the end of the post, it's going to be Wright, but yes, it could be an amazing moment and we wanted to share the idea.
In your opinion, based on the last few months, who do you think is the best pick for the CH at #1 overall?
Shane Wright? Juraj Slafkovsky? Logan Cooley? Who else?
