Acquisition Alert: Kent Hughes has Just Announced Two More Signings, Including a Very Interesting One
In his role as General Manager of the Laval Rocket, Kent Hughes was very active today.
After announcing the signings of goalie Strauss Mann and Tobie Paquette-Bisson, this just came out:
"The Rocket agrees on the terms of a one-way one-season contract with forwards Jared Davidson and Jakov Novak."
We are particularly excited to see the young Davidson in action, who really had an outstanding 2023 season.
Davidson, 20 years old, was the 130th overall choice of the Montreal Canadiens in the 2022 draft (fifth-round pick).
He racked up a solid 82 points (38 goals) in 59 games with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL, plus 23 points in 19 playoff games.
As for Novak, he is a new acquisition for the organization.
A choice of the Ottawa Senators and aged 24, Novak is a 6 foot 3 inches and 215 pounds forward who collected 12 points in 14 games of the ECHL in 2023.
We are excited to see them with the Rocket.
