In addition to Kaiden Guhle, who was named captain of the Canadian team at the World Junior Championship, the Montreal Canadiens will be able to boast of another hope that will carry the «C» for his country during the tournament.

The young forward Jan Mysak has indeed just been named captain of the Czech Republic. This role is nothing new for him, since he had already occupied it last year during this same competition.

This honour is therefore well deserved for this young man, who certainly benefits from his professional experience in the American League and the Czech First Division to bring a good dose of leadership to his dressing room.

The one who had collected three points, including two goals, during the last edition of the tournament is therefore part of a small group of aspiring leaders that seems to be forming among the Habs' U23 squad.

Given the Canadiens' glaring lack of leadership this season, including the absence of Shea Weber and Carey Price, this new wave of male leaders is great news for the organization's future.
