Kaiden Guhle will wear the captain's «C» on his Canadian jersey at the upcoming World Junior Championship. I remind you that the big guy was selected 16th overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2020 amateur draft.

The 19-year-old left-handed defenseman is seen as a future captain, he who is often compared to a more mobile Shea Weber.

Jake Sanderson, the son of former NHL player Geoff Sanderson, will wear the same letter during the same championship, but for the United States. Sanderson comes from the same vintage as Guhle, but was selected 5th overall by the Ottawa Senators.

He's also a 19-year-old defenseman, then just like Guhle, he's 6 feet 2 inches tall. He is also recognized as a great leader, but his style of play is more offensive. Although he has few flaws in his game, he excels in all facets.

The two young men will be the pillars of their respective teams, they will have to compete in epic duels during this tournament... then they will regularly find themselves in the professional ranks. The Senators versus Canadiens games have been very intense in recent years.

In short, a rivalry between the two men could start in a few days and enter the NHL in a few months/years.
