Last week, it was reported that Trevor Zegras managed to win $100 from Ryan O'Reilly of the St. Louis Blues with a rather comical bet.

It's rare to hear this kind of story, but the young Anaheim Ducks rookie has done it again.

He admitted that he tried to do the same thing, but this time he went after the biggest fish in the sea of the current campaign, Leon Draisaitl.

This one was much less sympathetic to Zegras than O'Reilly was. Although...

"I leaned over to him and said: $100 on the first bet. He looked at me and said, 'Can you afford $100 on the rookie? I said: I can't. That's why I have to win the game. That's why I have to win the face-off," said Trevor Zegras.

Zegras may have been disappointed at the time, as Draisaitl ultimately declined the invitation, but he must have also been relieved. The German forward had triumphed in the face-off circle in very convincing fashion.

Trevor Zegras clearly enjoys playing hockey, adding spice to his sport, daily.
