The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have put Quebec forward Alex Belzile through waivers, in order to return him to the Laval Rocket. This decision was made because the Habs must respect its roster of a maximum of 23 players.
A big piece will be added to Jean-François Houle's roster, if he doesn't get claimed by another team.
In addition, head coach Dominique Ducharme gave an update on Jake Evans' absence from practice this morning. According to him, Evans suffered a minor upper body injury and will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. His case is uncertain for Tuesday's game against the Sharks.
If Evans is out, it looks like Adam Brooks will be back in the lineup on Tuesday, as he was paired with Mike Hoffman and Brendan Gallagher this morning.
