Alexander Romanov reveals his intentions and sends a message to Canadiens fans
We were telling you yesterday about Alexander Romanov's press briefing, which included a little discomfort, when a reporter slightly slipped him with one of his questions:
But during the press conference, as part of the end-of-season wrap-up, several other important issues were discussed, including Romanov's future in Montreal.
On that point, there is no doubt and the young defenseman sent a strong message:
In good spirits and with his usual charisma, Romy also took the opportunity to praise the work of guys like David Savard, whom he seems to really appreciate. He also added that he'd like to improve the offensive side of his game, in preparation for next year, and that he's going to stay here (and in the US) this summer, to train.
Romanov, 22, whose rookie contract expires in a few weeks, is expected to sign a new long-term contract with the CH soon.
According to many (including Gilbert Delorme), he was the Tricolore's best defenseman at the end of the season. What kind of contract would you give him?
