It's now official. The Montreal Canadiens have a 25.5% chance of winning the 2022 NHL lottery and therefore, a 25.5% chance of winning the first overall pick in the next NHL Entry Draft.
The Tricolore is indeed the favorite team, in the whole league, to get their hands on the player who has obtained the status of exceptional: Shane Wright.
Popular columnist Marc-Olivier Beaudoin had some fun putting together the CH's roster for next year, if Montreal manages to draft Wright.
"The 2022-23 #CH offense if Shane Wright is drafted:
Caufield-Suzuki-Anderson
Drouin-Wright-Gallagher
R.Pitlick-Dvorak-Ylönen
Byron/Pezzetta-Evans-Poehling
Trade Hoffman/Armia this summer (if possible) and Drouin/Byron at the next deadline." - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin
Do you like the idea? What would be your prediction of the CH's 2022-23 offense?
