The NHL free agent market has been open for several days, but surprisingly, several popular names are still available and free as a bird.
This is notably the case for John Klingberg, Nazem Kadri, but also, PK Subban.
As for Subban, the TVA Sports network recently had the opportunity to speak with his agent, Don Meehan, and Meehan revealed that Subban's intentions are clear.
PK wants to play in the NHL next season and he hopes to announce his next destination, sooner rather than later.
"We are still considering several options. PK wants to sign imminently and he wants to play next year." - Don Meehan
It's interesting that "several options" are currently available to PK. Clearly, he is currently evaluating everything and should announce a verdict soon.
Subban, 33, just signed an eight-year contract (signed with the CH), a pact that paid him $72 million.
In 2021-22, he scored 22 points in 77 games with the New Jersey Devils. Knowing his popularity and his attachment to Montreal, do you think he could sign with the Tricolore?
If he accepts a one-season contract for less than $2 million, why not? He could help the youngsters and add experience to the blue line.
