Among the Canadiens' prospects who are making their mark this season with their respective junior teams is Quebec forward Joshua Roy.

He is currently second in the QMJHL in scoring with 107 points, including 43 goals in 60 games this season with the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

At this stage of his development, is it realistic to claim that Roy could potentially become the steal of this draft?

Obviously, it's a little early to predict what will happen with the other players selected in 2021, but as reported by my colleague Christian Matte at Marqueur.com, one analyst went ahead and made a pretty bold prediction about Joshua Roy's potential.

Mason Black of Rank King did an in-depth analysis
on the potential of several youngsters who are not yet in the NHL
taking into account the age of the players, the league they play in, the position they play and their production.

And based on his ranking, the Canadiens' prospect is fourth on the list with a potential 85 points.

Imagine, 85 points in one season according to him, that's possible for Joshua Roy!

While this is a bold prediction to say the least, the offensive potential is there for Roy and with another season of junior play, his stats should continue to improve.

Another Canadiens prospect, Riley Kidney, who plays for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, is ranked 14th, just behind Owen Power, the Buffalo Sabres' first pick in the 2021 draft.

Let's just say that the future of the Habs on offense is pretty bright.
