Sean Monahan suffered a lower body injury and had to leave the December 5th game against the Vancouver Canucks.
Since his absence, the Habs have been struggling with a 3-5-1 record.
With Sean Monahan in the lineup, the second line was more balanced. He was making great plays for his teammates.
Monahan was also playing on the power play, which hardly produces without number 91.
The lack of Monahan is clearly felt. He is expected to return in early January.
Sean Monahan has 17 total points, including six goals in 25 games this season.
