Monday night, Anthony Cirelli had an exceptional night (read the sarcasm here).
Following a dirty hit by Brock Nelson on Alex Killorn, Cirelli, like a leader who defends the members of his unit, jumped on Nelson without question. He also scored a goal while leaving for the dressing room after being hit in the face with a puck.
The result: a broken nose and a disfigured face. When he looks in the mirror over the next few days, he'll see someone else, no doubt about it.
"I can't sit here and say the mirror will be his friend for the next few days," said Jon Cooper.
Killorn was the one who shared this photo via Instagram and he seemed very proud of his teammate. Isn't that pride, confidence and brotherhood a few of the missing ingredients in this year edition of the Canadiens?
