We told you about it yesterday, the NHL waivers is now officially activated since a little more than 24 hours, and we are watching it closely, because the number one priority is the Montreal Canadiens.
In other words, Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton have the "first overall pick" of the waivers, and if an interesting name comes up, the Habs will be able to get their hands on it immediately. In fact, Hughes and Gorton were very clear that they intend to use this priority to improve their team.
Yesterday, all players were ignored, except for goaltender Jonas Johansson, who was claimed by the Arizona Coyotes:
Today, 15 more players were just placed on waivers:
Riley Barber
Chase Pearson
Andy Welinsksi
Tim Gettinger
Connor Bunnaman
Michael Vecchione
Riley Sutter
Hunter Shepard
Michael Sgarbossa
CJ Suess
Andrew Agozzino
Daniel Walcott
Darren Raddysh
Maxime Lagace
Trevor Carrick
