Ben Stelter was a super fan of the Edmonton Oilers. During his battle with a brain tumor, he was able to become an honorary member of his favorite team. Having the opportunity to meet his heroes and spend time with the team allowed Ben to fulfill his dreams.

Unfortunately, last week Ben lost his battle with cancer. The Oilers and the team's fan base have been extremely supportive of Ben and his family.

On Friday, the Stelter family held Ben's funeral, which was attended by many Oilers players, including Connor McDavid who wore a beautiful Oilers jersey that featured a tribute to Ben.

After last night's win over the Czechs in the World Junior Semi-Finals, the Rogers Centre staff paid a touching tribute to Ben. Ben coined the phrase "Play La Bamba, Baby" this past season, a song the Oilers played after every win.

After the Oilers, little Ben will also have brought good luck to Canada as a whole, as Team Canada Junior won the gold medal the next day (yesterday).
